Katy Kamikaze first started her performance career when just a little nipper, taking ballet and tap lessons for many years and later concentrating on drama and performance in operetta as well as musical theatre.

Katy has vast experience in theatres especially and is also highly competent as a stage manager, backstage crew member, prop master and scenic designer, having won an award in the latter for her scenic design for Ben Elton's 'Popcorn'. Her experience in these areas ensures an intricate understanding of theatrical performance.

In 2008, Katy graduated from University where she studied Scenic, Prop and Costume design (specialising in costume). This has ensured all her costumes are highly unique, exquisitely made and specific to her performances. During her time at university Katy took on modeling work, particularly pin-up and alternative styles, which led onto a keen interest in burlesque.

Making her mark as an inventive and original burlesque artiste, Katy has been performing for 3 years, taking a short break during this time to focus more solely on modeling work. Recently, Katy beat competition to win the 3rd round of the Northern bouts of the 'Tournament of Tease' and has sucessfully auditioned for and landed a part in the 'Missy Malone and friends' burlesque revue.

Her personality and creative flair is evident in her glittering performances, and her confidence oozes through every move! With special costumes and props to make her acts really stand out, Katy is sure to have something to please every burlesque enthusiast in her retinue of striptease.
